From SEO to GEO: Building Brands AI Engines Can Understand

Generative engines cite what they can parse and trust. Most brands are hard to parse and easy to ignore.

Generative engines assemble answers from sources they can understand. That rewards clear entity definition, consistent naming, structured pages, real authorship and factual specificity — the things a well-run brand should already have.

It also punishes vagueness. If your proposition is described differently on five pages, an engine has no reliable version to repeat. Consistency is now a distribution asset.

GEO is not a new discipline so much as an old one done honestly: say what you do, prove it, structure it, and make it machine-readable without writing for machines.
